Freelancing is hard, but Upwork makes it easier.

Freelancing can be difficult work, as anyone who has done it knows. Fortunately, new sites are popping up to make the whole process easier, whether you’re looking to get hired or hire others. This article covers Upwork and Fiverr, two of the most popular freelance platforms out there today – Upwork for high-end jobs and Fiverr for more low-level projects like basic website design or logo design. Take a look through to see which fits you best!

Get a good profile

If you want to get gigs on top freelancing websites such as Upwork or Fiverr, you have to have a high-quality profile. Freelancers who rank highly on these sites have several things in common—their profiles look professional and they’re easy to work with. Clients know that if they hire a freelancer with an exceptional profile, they’ll be more likely to enjoy a great experience with that person.

Set your hourly rate

The first step to freelancing is setting your hourly rate. The rate will depend on your experience and what you want to make; if you’re just starting out and don’t have much experience, starting with $10 an hour would be reasonable. As you gain more experience, you can work toward a higher hourly rate—but keep in mind that clients might also try to negotiate fees as well.

Know how long projects take

One of my biggest problems with Upwork was that I didn’t know how long projects would take or when they’d be completed. On a freelancer platform like Fiverr, clients can post jobs within minutes and have an immediate response.

Respond quickly

Making yourself available and quick to respond to clients will help you get more job orders and increase your chances of getting better-paying projects in future. Not responding quickly enough could lead to lost orders from clients who want someone that is more available and reliable. Set up an alarm on your phone or computer so you don’t miss any deadlines set by clients or requests for revisions in a project you’re working on. This way, even if you forget about something for a moment, no time will be wasted.

Offer bonuses

If you are trying to become a successful freelancer on platforms like Upwork or Fiverr then it's important to offer bonuses and incentives to your potential clients. This can make a big difference as most people are just looking for ways to cut down their costs without sacrificing quality or expertise. Offering extra bonuses in addition to your core services can help you provide more value at an affordable price point which will increase client retention and overall client satisfaction.

Use your strengths

The key to success in any freelancing career isn’t a never-ending hunt for work; you need to create an online presence that employers will flock to when they need your skillset. Find out what sets you apart from other freelancers and show off that expertise on sites like LinkedIn and Upwork.

SUNNY ALI

 SUNNY ALI

Sunny Ali, a.k.a. Shaikh Kashif Ali, was born in Karachi, Pakistan, on September 6, 1977. Worked in construction, Sunny Ali is a businessman. He is the creator and CEO of Extreme Commerce, the world's largest global e-commerce ecosystem, which he started and now heads. Entrepreneur and motivational speaker Sunny Ali is renowned for his expertise in establishing and growing online enterprises on worldwide markets and his ability to motivate others. As a member of the International Speakers Association, he has more than 24 years of expertise in developing organizations from the ground up and scaling them to new levels. On his social media channels, he advises about half a million entrepreneurs on wealth-building and business practices, as well as other issues, on an almost daily basis. A dynamic speaker and business coach, he inspires Pakistanis in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Pakistan with an entrepreneurial perspective on problem-solving, goal-setting, and accomplishment in the rapidly growing global E-Commerce industry.

Sunny Ali developed extreme Commerce to aid Pakistani youth and young entrepreneurs who hold the requisite traits and expertise to generate at least $1,000 in a given month.

Extreme Commerce is Pakistan's largest e-learning platform and most complete environment for young people to start their online enterprises because of its enormous user base and the high number of followers (1 million followers and 550k users). During the past three years, Extreme Commerce has reported revenues of more than US$350 million. One million members earning $1000 a month through freelancing or e-commerce requires Pakistan to create $12 billion in annual revenue.

First, in Pakistan, Extreme Commerce has built four large-scale e-commerce incubators with ambitions to expand to different regions. Ninety percent of the kids in Europe have free access to VBC2020 because of the program's financing, which gives participants 50 or more skills to acquire.

"I would want to make a formal complaint," Sunny Ali said on behalf of the Pakistani freelance community. The Pakistani government should meet with PayPal executives to explore commercial potential, which we all want to see happen. We have heard that construction on a gateway is currently underway. Personal or corporate Paypal accounts, on the other hand—which allow us to send and receive Paypal money freely—will help us grow our internet freelancing business."

According to him, the more complaints residents make on the citizen site, the more probable it is that the government would take action, such as organizing a committee, to help all Pakistani freelancers with issues obtaining overseas cash.

According to Sunny, Prime Minister Imran Khan's name should be included in all complaints made using the Citizen Portal App.

According to the author, Sunny shed insight on how the Pakistani young are connecting with Amazon due to pandemics and unemployment. He is trying to influence Pakistan's digital landscape by encouraging people to improve their digital abilities, personal growth, and competence. He has worked his way up from the Karachi slums to become a multimillionaire.

Sunny Ali thinks Pakistanis should start taking advantage of what Amazon.com offers. Electronic Commerce grew by 40% compared to pre-Covid levels during the epidemic, and this growth is expected to continue at 15% annually.

Personal growth, capacity building, and digital skills development are some of Sunny Ali's goals for Pakistan. As a multimillionaire who started in the slums of Karachi, Sunny Ali is motivated to make a difference in the world. His goal is to help Pakistanis become self-sufficient and financially independent by leveraging e-commerce and digital capabilities, notably Amazon's FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) model.

Biography

A Muslim family from a lower-middle-class background raised Sunny Ali in Sultanabad, Karachi, Pakistan. Affordability was a factor in ensuring the youngster had the most significant possible education and grooming throughout his early years. After all, this was what they were aiming for.

After earning a bachelor's degree in computer technology from Bahria College, he set out to rewrite his fate. Over the last two decades, many enterprises I attempted have failed spectacularly, and I have since tried again on different continents.

An Australian-Pakistani national who has been granted Malaysian Permanent Resident status now lives in Malaysia.

The Career of Sunny Ali

Sunny's father had opened a computer training center in Sultanabad, M T Khan Road, Karachi, Pakistan, when Sunny was 15 years old when he began his teaching career in 1992. Following his father's example of being an early adopter of technological advancements, Sunny became an early adopter of new technologies. Also, he realized his learning ability around this period. As a result of the process, he was able to get the title of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, see his potential, and decide to move to the United States to further his career and position himself as an authority figure outside of Pakistan.

From 2001 to 2003, he worked as a Senior Systems and Security Consultant with MIS Technologies Center in Singapore and Australia, where he gained considerable knowledge in information technology. Projects such as consulting, training, and seminars for Microsoft and Cisco were his responsibilities. He co-founded Comsys Services in Melbourne, Australia, in July 2004. Large and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) all around the country benefit from the company's technological consulting services (SMEs). There are three offices in Australia, one in Malaysia (in Kuala Lumpur), one in Sydney (in Sydney), and one in Brisbane (in Brisbane). The company's yearly sales are over AUD 2.5 million, and it employs more than 25 people. Comsys was ranked as Australia's 14th fastest growing IT company by Dun & Bradstreet. However, it was a victim of the 2008 stock market meltdown and had to shut down its doors as a result.

Since starting his new firm in Malaysia in 2009, he has gone through many highs and lows, but he finally achieved his objective of being a successful business owner eight years later. In 2017, he created Extreme Commerce to educate Pakistani youth and budding entrepreneurs on how to build successful online retail businesses on Amazon and other major online platforms.

As a well-known business teacher, influencer, and eCommerce entrepreneur, Ali is currently seeking a career on the ground. Thousands of early-stage entrepreneurs have benefited from his coaching firm, and he has amassed a sizable personal fortune in the process of helping them expand their Amazon companies internationally.

The Excitement of the Pursuit

As a knowledge-sharing community, Extreme Commerce began as a way for Pakistanis to learn from each other and share their experiences. However, it has grown into Pakistan's most potent and self-sustaining online ecosystem. Many new services have emerged in this ecosystem in recent years, including the ability to share knowledge and mentor newcomers, the availability of top-tier independent contractors and skilled virtual assistants, and the availability of business opportunities, partnerships, and investment opportunities.

The Community's Response

A majority of Extreme Commerce members have received free access to their training programs, allowing them to earn between $500 and $3000 per month by providing freelancing services for e-commerce businesses or launching their brands on Amazon and other global e-commerce platforms, as well as receiving individualized coaching.

In a surprisingly short amount of time, Sunny has become one of Pakistan's most well-known e-commerce figures, both domestically and internationally. Sunny has been a panelist or expert on various major TV networks' webinars on these subjects and more when it comes to entrepreneurship, mentorship, online business, and wealth creation.
